Fire Prevention and Education

In order to achieve the Mayor and Board of Alderman's Strategic Plan of creating 'Safer and Healthier Neighborhoods', our department stays focused on the safety of its citizens through continuing Community Risk Reduction Programs and Code Enforcement efforts.

Considerable resources have been dedicated to Public Education and citizen training in Collierville.  We continue to refine and update those efforts as we see successful results in our community.

A great beginning by Erin Daniels

  • Jump over to Pluggie's Firehouse where we've loaded some fun fire safety learning adventures for all ages.
  • Each year Collierville students K-12 have an opportunity to exhibit their safety and artistic skills during Fire Prevention Week's Poster Contest.  Statewide winners are recognized by The Tennessee Fire Marshall's Office in Nashville. Continuing a tradition of state-level recognition, seven out of sixteen total winners were from Collierville in 2015..
  • The Fire Safety Bureau is equipped with teaching aids and professionally trained staff for your child's class, senior groups, civic groups, church groups, etc. Contact Erin Daniels, Public Information Specialist, (901) 457-2485 or by email at
